# NewZapp and Google Analytics
Did you know that you can use Google Analytics to track clicks from emails sent by NewZapp? Don't worry, NewZapp will do the heavy lifting here so all you have to do is add a campaign name.
### **How to to add the GA campaign ID**
Once you've built your email and you're ready to send it click Next in the top right corner and on the next screen where you set the Subject Line you'll see the field for Google Analytics.
You type whatever you like here (keeping it professional of course) and this will then be added to the end of the UTM string and will show up as the acquisition source in Google Analytics.
NewZapp will set the rest of the UTM string for you so the Source will be 'NewZapp' and the Medium will be 'Email'.
### **What if I want to set the entire UTM string myself?**
You can absolutely set the entire UTM string yourself if you would prefer. To do this go into a draft of an email and where you set the link on the right, you can enter the an entire UTM string here.
### **Why does NewZapp sometimes show a different figure than Google Analytics?**
Because we track the link being clicked. Google Analytics tracks the page visit.
NewZapp tracks a click as soon as a link is clicked, however Google Analytics won't record the page visit until after the destination site has loaded. If that site has the option to reject cookies, and your contact does so, Google might not be able to track the page visit.
