How do I unsubscribe/resubscribe someone?

Every external email sent from NewZapp contains a link for the contact to unsubscribe or manage their preferences and pick which public Groups they wish to belong to.

If you want to unsubscribe a Contact yourself, you can do so from within your account.

  1. In the Contacts section of your account, use the search filters to find the Contact
  2. Once they have loaded on screen in a filtered list of results, click on the Contact's email address
  3. Their Contact Card will open.
  4. On their Contact Card there will be three options: Suppress  |  Remove  |  Unsubscribe
  5. Click on 'Unsubscribe'.
  6. A confirmation dialog window will open.
  7. Click 'Confirm Unsubscribe'.

This action will permanently prevent the Contact from receiving any of your campaigns. They will be unsubscribed from all Groups in your account.

You are able to mass unsubscribe on the 'Contacts' tab, by entering the group you wish to remove subscribers from, then click the box next to all the contacts who need to be removed. Once you have ticked all contacts who need to be, select 'Actions' in Blue above the list and then 'Unsubscribe'. You'll then receive a message on screen 'Unsubscribing contacts are permanently prevented from receiving campaigns from your account' and if you're happy, select 'Confirm Unsubscribe'.

To resubscribe a contact that has been unsubscribed (in accordance with the GDPR).

  1. In the Contacts section of your account, select groups
  2. Click the data pool (top left of your screen) and select unsubscribers
  3. Then use the search filters to find the Contact
  4. Once they have loaded on screen in a filtered list of results, click on the Contact's email address
  5. Their Contact Card will open.
  6. On their Contact Card click resubscribe
  7. A confirmation dialog window will open.
  8. Click 'confirm resubscribe'

Please note that your contact that you have resubscribed will be added back to the groups that they belonged to before they were unsubscribed.
